Chiara Bresciani, SynchroniCity Project Manager at the Municipality of Milan, has presented SynchroniCity and the upcoming 3m€ Open Call in two workshops during Milano Digital Week. The digital festival hosted 400+ events across the city with more than 70.000 guests attending.
“The Milano Digital Week was a great opportunity to present SynchroniCity and the Open Call to interested startups and SMEs from the Internet of Things environment”, said Chiara Bresciani.
The first event, where Bresciani presented the project, focused on “Financing opportunities for the digital revolution. European and national calls for SMEs and research centres”. The session was organised by APRE, the Agency for the Promotion of European Research, a non-profit research organisation.
Connecting to the Italian startup scene
Bresciani also participated in the Manifattura Milano Camp, which attracted more than 200 participants. Organised by the Municipality of Milan, the camp facilitated connections between digital artisans, makers, FabLabs, startups, researchers and SMEs.
In total, 112 speakers from 88 organisations took part in the first edition of the Manifattura Milano Camp. Chiara Bresciani, who presented the SynchroniCity Open Call during the plenary session, said: “The interest from the audience in SynchroniCity was big. Participating in the Milano Digital Week was a great success, especially to make SynchroniCity know to a wider audience from the Italian tech startup scene. We, the Municipality of Milan, are excited to finally launch the Open Call on 1 June.”
